Hello,

When I tried to save a modified game in one of my databases, I received the following message:

Begin Error Message

Error encoding game.
Error encoding game.
    while executing
"sc_game save $gnum"
    (procedure "gsave" line 10)

    ("uplevel" body line 1)

    (procedure "tk::ButtonUp" line 23)
    invoked from within
"tk::ButtonUp .save.buttons.save"
    (command bound to event)

End Error Message

Now, I am having trouble opening this database. I get the following message:

Begin Error Message

Opening database:
Database path and name
Error: could not open database
Database path and name
Error: name corruption in index file
Run "scidt -N" on this database to fix it.

End Error Message

On my machine, scid is in the /usr/local/bin directory. There is no file called scidt. Please let me know how to avoid this problem and where I can get a copy of the scidt file.

Thanks,

Cory Helfrich
