In my experience, a lot of online advertising companies use Linux - but I don't recommend working for them unless you like feeling slimy at the end of the day. I've also had a lot of experience with Linux in the scientific community. Perhaps there are some research-based operations local to you? I know a lot of grid computing is using Linux almost exclusively.

I would probably start concentrating heavily on services over a network though. The whole world is going to be connected and being able to serve them information or media reliably and robustly would be a boon to your potential clients :) (load balancing, backup, storage, security, &tc.)

Pretty much everyone is going to need a server for their data and being able to provide them that service is a good thing IMO.
