I have some thoughts about the fans dissatisfaction with the direction
of the show and I wanted to know what you guys thought. I noticed some
fans balk when they started infusing the storyline with many parallels
to social issues we face. I've read fans indicate that they do not like
complex storylines or stories that touch too much on our reality. I
guess they prefer crap like the last two years of Andromeda. I
definitively disagree, but I definitely think they loss some of their
young White male demographic

The second complaint I agree with entirely. I don't understand though.
Moore cut his teeth on DS9 where they seemed to mix up the seasons with
rich side stories storylines that would focus on quark, garak, morn, and
other characters infused throughout the season. On Galactica they would
give us four great episodes around one storyline and then five seemingly
pointless filler episodes. I think that significantly contributed to
viewer erosion.

Why do you think views are getting disenchanted with Galatica?
