I don't know for certain but I don't think that Native Americans own African Slaves was a common thing. Though clearly, it happened.
It should also be balanced by the history of the "Buffalo Soldiers" many of whom fought as hard as the whites in the post Civil War "Indian Wars" to subjugate and annihilate Native American tribes.
