I really disliked BET for a long time, because they pretty much wasted the opportunity to create an incredible conduit for all types of black entertainment. (a couple of exceptions but not many) Compare it to Telemundo that has several long running shows and award winning news programming. BET could have gone with a similar business model with their own unique programming but we ended up with mostly fluff and garbage.
