Pardon me. My last rant came out so furiously that I left off my preamble...

I can't really see where any "new viewers" would come from. The series is 
barely six years dust, and it was in fairly regular re-airings on FX until last 
year. Anyone who can say that they haven't seen must be from a part of the 
planet where TVs don't exist.

I think producers are scared of alienating new viewers by lopping on 7
seasons of continuity....the same excuse comic publishers make when there is
another Spiderman #1 (Brand New Day anyone?) or a new universe all together
(Ultimate Universe).
