Keith, that'll be those *other* folks who'll be too stupid to know a good movie
by sight. We'll be fine in here.

Amen. I'm really starting to get peeved at the conflation of the two, and I'm
really getting tired of "blockbuster", both being used so much for movies (it's
as overused as "super model"), and the way the term is thrown out before the
film even hits the cinema.
I tell you folks: this mindset of the "summer blockbuster" is really dangerous
and needs to stop. Or else, twenty years from now we'll be sitting around like
in "idiocracy", too stupid to even understand what a good movie looks like, let
alone how to make one.

There's a reason that very few people make the mistake of conflating "popular"
and "good".

Milton, ignore what Augustus said. Just don't see this movie. It will make you
a worse person. Seeing this movie is the moral equivalent of shoplifting a bag
of socks.

Milton, overlook what Justin said. go and see the movie. like the last post
said. it's just good mind numbing 2 1/2 hours of fun.

Do you hate yourself? If so, go see Transformers. Otherwise, run far away.

Always a good Plan B. I just finished A. Lee Martinez's Monster(awesome
Gaimanesque fun) and I have Warren Fahy's Fragment in addition to some other
things in the to be read pile.

I might finally get to watch Let The Right One In in addition to Blade Runner.
I finally watched Caprica the other night and managed to sit through 3 minutes
of The Spirit before I gave up.

Is anyone going to the movies, watching the Twilight Zone marathon or doing
anything else fun or exciting this weekend?
