I wonder what some of those execs thought about movies like Taxi Driver back
when it was released? Some of the older movies had complex plots but
suffered from static scenes that often killed the pacing of the movie. Deer
Hunter is a good example of that. I like going back to watch the older films
to look at the huge difference in pacing that is totally missed now.
