The robots are equipped with surveillance, tracking, firing and voice recognition systems and use heat and motion detectors to sense possible threats. The Telegraph story says, If the command centre operator cannot identify possible intruders through the robot's audio or video communications system, the operator can order it to fire its gun or 40mm automatic grenade launcher. Apparently, North Korea has an army 1.2 million-strong, while South Korea's is about half that, at 655,000. *Photo: South Korean soldiers.
