"The Pandorica Opens" is one of my favorite Dr. Who episodes ever - I love the way it and the succeeding episode tie up most of the easter eggs scattered since "The Raggedy Doctor" episode. "The League of Evil" banning together to save humanity is good stuff! And Alex Kingston is priceless as Dr. River Song. I have never been an Alex Kingston fan, but this is a perfect melding of actress and role. The Sophie Okonedo cameo as Liz Ten (Queen Elizabeth the Tenth, for you scoring at home) is a welcome surprise. It is a sincere sensation to see a sci-fi arc that was actually pre-planned, well thought out and well executed (as opposed to how "X-Files" and "Lost" did it - just to name two). All this and a two-thousand year love story.
