Hey everybody. On NIPS I talked to Gael and Gilles about a possible feature / estimator freeze for 1.0. The idea would be to not add new classes or major features before sorting out what we have. We would take in some things that are still in the pipeline, such as the neural net, but not accept any more new algorithms for the time being.
What does everybody think about this? The main motivation is that many of the core-devs seem to feel a bit overwhelmed by the current amount of activity and we need to make sure that the important issues don't get overlooked and we keep moving forward.
