Please note that this message will contain a full copy of the comment thread, including the initial issue submission, for this request, not just the latest update. Category: SciTE Group: Bug Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Submitted By: Piotr Fusik (pfusik) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: Cannot paste Unicode into 8-bit buffer on GTK Initial Comment: I have selected some text in the gnome terminal and tried to paste it into SciTE. This had no effect. The problem was that the text had Unicode apostrophes (so it worked after switching SciTE's encoding to UTF-8). I think that SciTE should display an error message instead of ignoring the user. The text I've selected was the synopsis of 'man CGI'. It wasn't obvious what was wrong, as the apostrophes looked almost like normal ones. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=102439&aid=1216396&group_id=2439 _______________________________________________ Scintilla-interest mailing list [email protected] http://mailman.lyra.org/mailman/listinfo/scintilla-interest
