[scintilla] Speed of indicator rendering?

This is a reality-check... *should* drawing of entire pages-full of 
text with indicators on every char be substantially slower than the 
same text without indicators?

And yes, I know I actually contributed a piece of the current 
indicator rendering code... but still. :)
