   64 colours will work well. 200 colours will probably work too.

   I'm not sure what to do about scaling. Having larger sizes
available makes it easier to do scaling either at runtime or by
developers creating several sizes before building. What is the largest
size that people feel is needed? I'm happy with 16x16 on a 1680x1050
LCD screen but could imagine wanting 24x24 on a higher resolution
screen. I don't think many people would want 32x32 used in the margin
rather than as a source for scaling although some people require very
large text.

   Here is a gold arrow I drew in SciTE itself - soon to take over
from Photoshop if we can convince artists to type lots of punctuation
into a text editor rather than draw their images.
