I've just compiled scintilla 1.6 on windows (hoping to use the gtk
widget in my app), but I don't get a .a file in the bin directory when I
run mingw-make in the win32 directory. The two .dll files
"scintilla.dll" and "scilexer.dll" are created fine, but I need a
linkable .a file in order to compile an app.
How can I get a .a file to be compiled?
I do essentially what you are talking about myself for my binding of
Scintilla for the Objective Caml language and GTK2 environment... but
I whipped up my own Makefile (based on MSVC and friends) to do it. :)
