This is again regarding performance of an Editor.
You mentioned the performance of editor in terms of loading of the file.
But, the problem we are facing is somewhat different.
Editor shows the typed-in characters into a file whose size is large(e.g.415kb and above)
with a significant delay ranging from 10 ms to 30 ms.
The user has to wait for the typed-in characters to appear and it could be annoying for him/her.
I have built the scintilla library using Microsoft VC7 (Microsoft Foundation Class Library version 7.0.)as a dynamic library.
I am calling the Scintilla API using the SendMessage interface (as opposed to direct access).
This is being run on a WinXP SP2 with a 1.5GHz Intel x86 family processor and 512MB RAM.
It would be helpful if you consider this problem and convey your comments/views on this.
