I have closed this RFE
I can see that some people may find this useful but to me,
adding a second set of matching braces is more confusing. If
there had been more enthusiasm for it it probably would have
gone in but it doesn't appear to be worth the additional
code for now.
The more visible braces change should be reevaluated after
translucent drawing is enabled for the caret line.
