The trick with VMWare Server is that it really likes to not work for
some users (I could only get to use it perhaps once every 5 times I
tried).  On the other hand, VirtualBox has worked great for me every
time I tried it, works on Windows, Mac, and Linux.  Even better: it's
open source!
