it works well, but quadratic time on 131000... leads my user to kill the
soft and tell me that its bugged ;-(
for sure it's linked to word-wrapping (ContractionState::MakeValid
takes all the time).

In case Josiah's suggestion is not what you need here, I [quite a
while ago] added code to Scintilla to handle the "other side" of this:
IIRC, I was having similar performance problems with massive numbers
of line *deletes* during Undo, and arranged to have the scrollbar
updates deferred until I was done.
Look at the use of the SC_MULTISTEPUNDOREDO mod type flag and the
CanDeferToLastStep() predicate function in Editor.cxx.
