Thanks for contacting us. This is certainly welcome - nobody is better positioned to write this code than you are, and that is a good thing for users of PVCS that use Maven and/or Continuum.
I'd just like to add that we can only accept code donations that are licensed under the Apache License 2.0 (http://www.apache.org/licenses/LICENSE-2.0.txt), and it may be necessary to execute a software grant (http://www.apache.org/licenses/software-grant.txt) to go along with the contribution. Hopefully, these shouldn't be an obstacle. As Emmanuel said, we certainly look forward to hearing more from you on the the scm-dev@maven.apache.org list.
