Last Thursday my "99 Coupe went in for the infamous "Fix". The performance
upgrade and an oil change ( which according to SVT is supposed to take 3
hours) had me in an Escort P.O.S. for two days. I did not have my car dyno
tested but always felt that the car had no bottom end prior to the work. Post
fix my Cobra now makes power from the low 3000 rpm range instead of middle
4's. Definitely torquier and a much smoother powerband.
Question 1- What's this about a pulley replacement ? I did not get this.
Should I give SVT a call or can someone give me some more info on this ?
Question 2 - After its' 3rd visit to the dealer my driver side power window
still does not work. The dealer says they have to order a new motor and
switch cause they do not stock the one for the Cobra and it is different from
the regular Mustang. This seems ridiculous. Anyone ?
Oh and by the way....I picked up two door dings in my otherwise perfect Black
and Tan Coupe while it was there. I always do my own walk around when I drop
it off and when I pick it up ( do this outdoors, not in their covered drop
off/pick up area ). The only way they will agree to repair something like
this is if you can prove it happened while they had it....
