LUNASA returns to Colorado. This amazing band will be in Colorado Springs at the Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center Thursday March 1 at 7:30pm, and on Friday March 2nd at 8pm, they will perform at The Rialto Theater in     L            Loveland. Dougie MacLean is one of Scotland’s most gifted and successful contemporary singer-songwriters. He combines his stunning voice with haunting lyrics and guitar music that warms audiences to their very core.  Dougies’s songs have been heard all over the world and been recorded by many top artists including Kathy Mattea, Mary Black, Cherish the Ladies, and Delores Keane.  Caledonia, a song he wrote 15 years ago about Scotland has become a Scottish anthem and went straight to number 1 in the Scottish charts. He has been awarded gold discs for his music used on the movie The Last of the Mohicans and for songwriting and co-producing on Kathy Mattea’s album Time Passes By. The pipes the pipes are calling! Uillean piper Eric Olson is proposing to teach a class on the Uillean pipes January 2001 at the Swallow Hill Music Association in Denver. Eric is also interested in contacting all those in the area who have uillean pipes as well as those who are interested in playing or buying a set.
