The regular session at Stagg's (a.k.a. the Volunteer Arms) in Musselburgh is now up and running again after a gap of a few months. First one last Monday was about 50/50 singing and instrumentals, and I for one would like to keep that balance.
First Monday of each month, 8pm-11pm, in the back room (round to the right of the bar and down the corridor to the end; this room is the size of the rest of the pub put together). You can get back to Edinburgh or Dalkeith/ Mayfield/Newtongrange/Gorebridge by bus after it finishes (not sure about the Tranent direction). The next one is Monday 7 January 2002. Stagg's has been a CAMRA Pub of the Year recently, so there are other reasons to drop in. It's across the road on the north side of the Brunton Halls. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jack Campin * 11 Third Street, Newtongrange, Midlothian EH22 4PU, Scotland tel 0131 660 4760 * fax 0870 055 4975 * http://www.purr.demon.co.uk/jack/ food intolerance data & recipes, freeware Mac logic fonts, and Scottish music Posted to Scots-L - The Traditional Scottish Music & Culture List - To subscribe/unsubscribe, point your browser to: http://www.tullochgorm.com/lists.html
