In my pursuit of Scottish folk music history, I have unearthed some
more ensembles of yesteryear; has anybody heard of them? Know anything
more about them?

The following were finalists in the Scottish Folk Group Championship of
1971:

Chordah Cleich - presumably unrelated to Edinburgh 70s outfit Chorda?
The Galloways
Town Choice
Ailsa Craig
Eggplant
The Gowries
Pert & Dobbie

.................
The Crofters were a threesome Bill and Eileen Christie and Frank Robb
from the Aberdeen area, I think. They recorded an album in 1969 for the
Beltona label.
.................
All from the mid-1960s:

The Three Js (or Jays) from the Crieff/Comrie area
The Craig Dhu Three from Glasgow
The Tannahill Four from Paisley
The Moss Troupers from Paisley
.................

I recently added a page on my website for the Joe Gordon Folk Four. To
my surprise, shortly afterwards I received an email from Joe himself.
The internet is remarkable.
