Hello, this is my first question to the
group. I am a new user of Unix at work and as such have decided to install
linux at home. I downloaded Redhat 7.1 and am very impressed. I have
a dual boot machine with Windows and Linux, and had a problem with Windows -
need I say more! This required a re-install. Only problem was that
the new install wrote over the boot sector so now I cannot get into Linux
anymore. I have the CDs which can boot up and I can access the Linux
partition so no informaton is lost. Does anyone know how to just install
the boot part. I dont want to install everything again.
Secondly, I have a Rockwell HCF 56K winmodem.
I have just downloaded the linmodem drivers for these, has anyone
successfully got a winmodem running under linux?
Thanks
Allan
