I also agree, I havent used SuSE since version 5 since i've found distros that suit me better for what i need them for. But back in the good old days SuSE was way ahead of any distro in almost all areas, it had an intuitive installation system yast, love it or hate it, was still a million times more intuitive than the red hat control panels at the time. Its definatly (IMHO) more intuitive than anything (excludig Apt-get) that debian has ever had to offer. I'm sure things have changed a lot since V5 but i'm sure it can only have improved since then. Granted it is (IMHO) a little bloated, but there are very few distros that arent these days and as far as i can tell you get a trade off between ease of use and size. Just because you don't use suse, or havent bothered to take the time to get to know it, doesnt mean that it sucks. Suse does definatly not suck and i'm sure you can see this is backed up by the number of super-guru's on this list who use suse for everything. Just my 0.02 David Irvine == Mandrake on the desktop, debian in the car. -------------------------------------------------------------------- http://www.lug.org.uk http://www.linuxportal.co.uk http://www.linuxjob.co.uk http://www.linuxshop.co.uk --------------------------------------------------------------------
