Sure, this works too. I'm hoping to make this a little more
transparent to the users, though.

I just open the files in a non-scratchbox terminal via
/scratchbox/users/murrayc/home/murrayc/yaddayadda/

A bookmark in the GNOME file chooser helps me with that.
