Alrighty I am attempting to compile a piece of software that requires
the perl module however it fails at the configure step with the
following message:

checking whether make sets $(MAKE)... yes
checking whether to enable maintainer-specific portions of Makefiles... no
checking for perl... /scratchbox/tools/bin/perl
checking for XML::Simple... configure: error: XML::Simple perl module
is required for icon-naming-utils
make: *** [config.status] Error 1

Per the advice I found here -
http://www.mail-archive.com/maemo-develop...@maemo.org/msg14442.html -
I did the following:

SBOX_REDIRECT_IGNORE=/usr/bin/perl

Which appears to have half worked - my perl versions now shows 5.8.3
(instead of 5.8.4) however when I try to compile it still fails with
the same error message I list above.

Ideas/suggestions?
~Jeff
