Follow-up Comment #5, bug #42342 (project screen):
This happens to me too fairly regularly. I think iTerm2 is tickling something
in screen.
I used screen in xterms on this mac for years with no problems.
screen -v
Screen version 4.00.03 (FAU) 23-Oct-06
(I *know* it's old, it's the one with OSX)
iTerm2 Build 1.0.0.20140629
It usually happens when I option-click to paste in some multi line text.
