This may be another instance of an obscure issue that has come up recently on the SUSE list. Basically, in some instances (not all - only about 5 people, including myself, have had this happen, but others could not replicate the effects) running the Gnome2 settings daemon will allow you to configure your Gnome fonts nicely, but will make your KDE fonts look big and horrible (there are also issues with Naughtylus taking over your KDE desktop, even if you have told it not to). If you *don't* run the settings daemon, your KDE fonts are OK, but your Gnome fonts become a horrible large or tiny (depending on the app) Courier. I'm assuming you are running Gnome as your main desktop, and you've set up KDE to try Scribus. One user did report resolving this by turning off antialiasing in *both* KDE CC and QT-config, with the fonts still remaining antialiased even in KDE (so I'm suspecting some Gnome foolery in grabbing antialias settings too). -- Best wishes Kevin Donnelly www.kyfieithu.co.uk - Meddalwedd Rydd yn Gymraeg
