A couple of thoughts (sorry, I'm just a Scribus/DTP n00b). Instead of copy/pasting the pages can you import them instead (I think you'll need cvs >= 28,Jun)? Or maybe a select all, place in scrapbook, and then use from there (this seems to create unique names).
