What I seemed to have to do (?) was to delete my old Scribus directory when I hooked up with CVS -- I tried just updating the old directory and got horrendous messages about aclocal when I tried 'make -f Makefile.dist'. After I deleted Scribus and started all over again, it worked. (Using FC2 by the way).
Now I have to see if this whole Copy of Copy of problem is gone. Greg
