Hi frank, Welcome to the list. Just a couple of polite reminders and NOT to pick on you personally. 1) Please do not hijack a thread. Now there are messages which are irrelevant to the original question - which has yet to be answered. 2) Please DON'T use HTML for posting. Not everyone likes receiving HTML e-mail; some consider it pure evil. I posted below your reply to show what HTML email looks like in a text email reader like mutt. At least you are not using Outlook Express or Comic Sans as a font :-) Now, in answer to your question, drop shadows is a good candidate for the roadmap for the 1.3 development series. Basically, except for minor non-invasive add-ins, we are not adding new features to 1.2.x. The focus on 1.2.2 and beyond is purely on stability and correctness. You can see the current roadmap on http://wiki.scribus.net Also: http://bugs.scribus.net/view.php?id=377 Cheers, Peter
