Sebastian, For downloaded .deb files you have to do dpkg -i. However, that method might have just become obsolete already :). Please help me test the freshly-minted ultimate Scribus "Debian and Friends (currently Ubuntu is the only friend there)" package repository that I intend to maintain from now on. Add the appropriate line from below to your /etc/apt/sources.list and do the usual "apt-get update; apt-get install scribus" run or use your favorite graphical front-end such as synaptic or aptitude to install scribus package. Please report any problems to me. Your line will be the "hoary" one, of course. deb http://debian.tagancha.org/debian/ stable main non-free contrib deb http://debian.tagancha.org/debian/ testing main non-free contrib deb http://debian.tagancha.org/debian/ unstable main non-free contrib deb http://debian.tagancha.org/debian/ hoary main restricted deb http://debian.tagancha.org/debian/ breezy main restricted Thanks, Alex
