You can build it with Fink. Fink has versions 1.2.4.1 and 1.3.3.1 for X11, and scribus-aqua version 1.3.3.1. They all build on ppc and on intel. With Fink you can build scribus and its prerequisites on one machine and then distribute the binaries via apt-get to others. -- Martin
