If export from Inkscape be sure the export to be 300 dpi, also you can use xara-lx on linux, or Gimp Linux/Windows/MacOSX. export it at .png or . tif with 300 dpi

In scribus, as far as I know, I can only have a shadow which is an exact copy of the front text. Is there a way to have this shadow as a soft shadow in Sribus? I tried with Inkscape, but can't import text-svg. I tried to import it as a bitmap, but then the font looses in quality and I am afraid that it will be seen in the print. Any suggestions?
