Thanks! The installer package might better have been named "Install Ghostscript.mpkg" instead of "GPL Ghostscript.mpkg", which would be a lot more intuitive and correlate better with the "Uninstall Ghostscript.mpkg" file. I can now start Scribus without seeing the Ghostscript popup.
