Hi all, I'll give my view here quickly as product management of eZ. I am not sure a thread on share.ez.no is really needed for that specific issue but we could definitelly do that if you wish. I must say i'd rather discuss eZ Publish features and functionnality though !
First of all, i don't really see this mention present in the dashboard as "Ads" but more as "Information". Second of all: this is not a Premium feature, just the opposite. This was actually even something requested by some partners: see more obviously on the home page of the administration interface, which version of eZ Publish is running exactly, and if it is supported by the Premium support and maintenance ! So what we bring here is an answer to that request, as we do think it is a good idea ! Philipp, thank you for the advice regarding "selfesteem" ;-) May be you will be more cumfortable if i tell you we have been spending more time and more energy in bug fixing and new features, than in the wording of that specific mention. If you wish to suggest different wording for that message, we are really listening your advice ! But we do think it is important here to show the exact running version and if it is covered by Premium, and if not, to mention it could. We do have in the plan, for people running Premium, to have real Premium features in the admin interface (for the administrator only and not the editor): Moving and exposing features of the Service Portal in the admin itself, including SSO, to make administrator's life simpler. I really think this is one of the core value of Premium: making things simpler to Premium customer. As adviced by you Phillip, this will only be visible if the Premium support is activated for the installation (via eZ Network), we would not pollute the UI with disabled things (we need space for our users in the UI ! ).
