hmm. this is the first time ive written so...
lately i have really been enjoying lots of emo bands. yet as a genre i dont
see it gaining mainstream popularity. personally, i think that this is a
good thing. yes, i do think that bands like jimmy eat world and the like
deserve praise and increased record sales... i guess i would like to see emo
contained under the title of indie rock, and not exploited as the "next ska".
on a random note, id also like to reccomend an amazing band from jersey that
you have probably already heard, saves the day. i was fortunate enough to
get to see them live about a week ago in meriden ct. i guess people refer to
them as emocore... i dunno. id say that they are like really good, thought
out hardcore. they have a mix of sounds, with some songs that are
sunnyday-sounding mellow stuff. go see em if you get the chance.
