Some tasks the software engineer will have: - Develop web interface (RoR) to backend service using SOAP - Develop and manage Ruby-based SOAP API libraries - Package and manage deployment of UI on VirtualBox - Develop scripts for managing virtual Linux development environment - Participate in discussions dealing with specifications, and testing - Implement designs, write and perform unit tests, integrate into our distributed video security system and follow deliverables through the product design/development lifecycle - Estimate development tasks - Correct software defects - Provide tier 3 technical support as needed - Others as assigned This position reports to a technical manager within the development team.
