Day-to-day we build both internal tools and client-facing applications for the core Q-Centrix business lines. We now have a unique opportunity to apply machine learning directly to problems (like readmissions) that hospital quality teams care about. Since we deal with protected health information (PHI) application stability, security and correctness are musts. We want to grow our team to about 10 people (from 2!) in various roles this year.
We’re looking for all of the following (please share if you know someone local for non-Ruby roles): - A senior engineer and team lead experienced with Rails, Javascript and possibly Python - Software engineers that are comfortable with web frameworks, preferably Rails - A UI/UX designer that can juggle multiple projects and create a unifying vision - A DevOps/Infrastructure engineer that can effectively administer a HIPAA environment - A data scientist/ML specialist with medical informatics exposure for pilot projects - An internal/external product manager preferably with experience in healthcare or analytics The senior engineer will be responsible for leading design and development on our most complex problems, monitoring overall code quality and maintaining stylistic guidelines. A desire to evaluate and share new techniques, languages and frameworks while providing feedback to junior members is a must. We will be a small team so you will be expected to contribute code. Experience presenting publicly about Ruby or other languages is a plus. Generally, we need people that want to help us build a positive culture, to constantly learn, and have a desire to excel in their field. Our ideal team is diverse, kind and communicative. We will have time to explore and share new languages, frameworks and more within the scope of our work and possibly contribute to open source.
