Hi Everyone Apologies in advance for an off-topic hardware question, but I've found this group often has really good feedback about hardware purchases.
I've just had my 3rd router in what seems like less than 5 years die on me. This last time I thought I was buying a higher end router (I admit I am very ignorant about hardware) from Linksys - model E2000. I think I paid around $80 or so for it. I bought it in March 2011 and I'm not impressed by its life span. I'm willing to pay more for something that might last longer than 2 or 3 years. I just hate throwing away stuff like this. Anyone have suggestions for a good quality router that might last longer ? I'm also interested in knowing how long your routers have lasted. Is 2 or 3 years normal ? I'm definitely looking for something that provides wireless also. Hope everyone had a nice holiday break and thanks for your feedback!
