I highly recommend to anyone wanting to be a professional software
developer to do at least 4 years in one or more proper software development
companies as an employee developer. You will learn professional software
development practices that you don't really pick up other places. And you
can also use it as an opportunity to build a network of trusted colleagues
that will be a great source of future contract work if you do decide you'd
rather freelance.

If you're absolutely dead set on freelancing right from the get go, then
consider freelancing as a team member on larger teams rather than taking on
your own full stack projects.

Cheers,
