There are always developers out there, it just depends on how flexible
companies are willing to be. Accommodating remote positions is one great
way to broaden your hiring base. Another is being willing to hire junior
devs coming out of code schools and train them up. But many companies
insist on hiring only on-site senior-level positions from the fairly
small tech market in San Diego and then gripe about how they can't find
developers. Not saying that is or isn't the problem on this project, but
I see a ton if it.
