Re: Upgraded URL - Final URL Tracking templates

2015-06-29 Thread Robert Rodakowski
Hi,

Let me hook myself up to this question, as I find it very interesting.
Josh, does your second answer mean, that if I had the following final URL
set on ad:

and my *external* tracking tool will land on (finally redirect to)
*:*
*http://somefinal.com/shopping/?*

*?start_date=20150629stop_date=20150707*
(let's assume, that stop_date parameter will invoke some tiny change on
landing site)

will be accepted by Google? I mean, will Google disapprove this ad, as
landing URL and final URL are different? I understand that domain policy
is being satisfied here. Only the parameters are different.

And if Google will disapprove this ad (as far as I understand this similar
to Gopi's first case), than would custom parameters be a solution? So final
URL set on ad would be:

where* _custom_param1* is set to stop_date=20150707 on adgroup level,
and than tracking tool may land on:

*?start_date=20150629stop_date=20150707*
and Google will accept such state?

Best regards,
Robert.

 Hi Gopi,

I think I (finally) understand your original question. Based on what you
describe, I think you should be fine in terms of the domain check, provided
that your tracking template ultimately redirects the user to a site on the
same domain as your display URL.

However, if your content changes based on parameter values, you may
encounter policy issues if the content doesn't match the ad.
