I was super-impressed by lightness of the 7.10. Well there is no change on 8.04, so the impression of 7.10 still remains ;) I suggest people with 256MB RAM peiple to use Xubuntu, so had to download for them. I agree with nirjhor.If u want best glass look effect on KDE I
will recommend u OpenSuSE. And If u thing about user friendly OS than u can
use Mandriva cause Mandriva is much user friendly than OpenSuSE but
OpenSuSE forum is so active and reply so fast.It is quite tough for me to
compare those distros but for testing u can use both or choose any of them
that u like.And one thing is that those use rpm package manager.SuSE use
zypper and YaST and Mandriva use drakmanager.

LOL I did so before... But I found it now.. actually was bz writing something and was disturbed when it turned otherwise with an accidental keystroke.. I mailed here to know if anyone knows the keystroke. And some of the people dont know what is Right-to-left / Left-to-right orientation. For them, its nothing but the way we write. Arabic is written right to left, whereas English, Bangla etc are Left-to-right. Anyways thanks. 9el ps. Nice to hear that the suspend is working. But the major problem was with hibernation. Is that working as well? And why do you exactly have 2 x 3GB for Swap space? By any chance do you have two separate partitions for Swap? Go to System Monitor, you'll find your 0% of swap memory is in use. How to use it? It is just another DE (desktop environment) gOS (another ubuntu derived distro) uses it as default DE. It is still in beta phase lacks stability. I couldn't like it at all. Enlightenment is a darwin based DE, therefore having a native dock! It couldn't become alternative of GNOME and KDE yet. My university wanted to be an official mirror for ubuntu. I have told you earlier, we are going to move into Ubuntu pretty soon (from Win2000 and Fedora 5/6). Don't question about the space ;) but bandwidth might cause a problem. We may get help from BracNET, but that will come later. If there are a good number of Ubuntu users here, there are two good news. I might help to convince BracNet and Sirius Broadband, if they get proper help they'll host the mirrors as well. Then the BracNet and Zip users will get direct ftp facilities for mirrors (without internet). i also found this problem couple of month ago. At that time, after updating my system with the update manager, i found i cannot read anything in sachalayatan. I checked my firefox setting, everything were alright. After couple of trial and error attempts, i uninstalled a package called banglattf or something like that( contains bangla fonts). then everything started woking fine again.
