2010 ---
Currently when building installation packages for uncommon languages the
make/dmake process may break at the end (after several minutes) because some
files like readmes or license text are missing for that locale. To work around
this files need to be copied manually from one existing locale to the missing
locale. The problem however is that the build only breaks at the end which is
very annoying if you need to build a multi installation set and get this
probelem several times each after some minutes of building passed only.
In order to save time the make process should complain right at the start about
missing files that need to be copied manually anyway when they are not provided
by the build process.

I found "Err:502" in G3 with "Ooo 3.1.1 WIN XP DE[OOO310m19 (Build 9420)]".
After modification of date ("30.07.09") result was 29,07%.
"Ooo-Dev 3.3.0 multilingual version English UI WIN XP: [OOo330m1 (Build 9514)]"
showed "#VALUE"
I have some difficulties to understand the problem and cerated a more simple
"mynewexample.ods" that seems to show that there exist problems with recognition
of localized country specific date strings. That indeed worked better in 3.1.1.
So currently I see the effect, but can't really figure out the reason.
For more details please see attached "mynewexample.ods"
By the way:
I believe that HELP is not useful to understand how DAYS() should work.
"DAYS: Calculates the difference between two date values."
That's not correct. Function calculates difference of values if the date numbers
are results of other functions or if numbers are in cells and if the formula
references to those cells.
So syntax is "DAYS(Reference to Date2; Reference to Date1)" or similar
like "DAYS(A1;A2")
If dates are directly integrated into formula, DAYS calculates difference
between values of date strings.

However, I've used this query before without problem. The odb file opens correctly, but when I try to view tables, open a form, or use SQL, I get the error: "The connection to the data source [filename] could not be established. The database was created by a newer version of OpenOffice.org." However, these files were both created on the exact same OO version on the exact same computer, and were last accessed without problem earlier today. OpenOffice was closed normally at lunch; there was no crash that could explain corrupted files today, although I did have a crash yesterday (unexplained, not sure what happened -- copying data [text] into a form and OO hung as if it got stuck in a loop until it eventually crashed). Neither restarting the computer, nor reinstalling OpenOffice from the original disk image, fix the problem. Access to other database files (including my backup file from yesterday's crash) don't have problems. I've copied the odb files and unzipped them to look at the database scripts and cannot find any obvious discrepancies. I'll attach the smaller database file ... and then start re-doing my work from this morning, which in turn was a re-do of work that I'd lost yesterday! I investigated a little and found out that although Windows dual screen is set to "extend desktop" with only one external screen connected, Impress detects 5(!) screens instead of 2 screens. Windows itself detects only 2 screens, which is correct. Impress tells me that screen 3 is my primary screen. If I set the presentation to be shown on screen 4, then it is correctly shown on the external display that Windows identifies as display 2. But the presenter console does not show up. I think it could be shown on screen 1 (which is actually not there). It should be shown on screen 3 (which OO.o detects as current screen). Any suggestions why 5 screens are detected and how to make the presenter console to show up? I suspect it could be related to the switchable graphics of my laptop: The integrated card has one output port and the discrete card has 2 output ports. Together with both cards having the internal display, this sums up to 5 displays which is what Impress detects. But the integrated graphics adapter is disabled by software and only one port of the discrete card is connected. The problem is that the line width is not transformed. So when printed in a page
preview shape the line width is the same as it would be if the contents of the
page preview shape is printed to the whole page.
I think the problem is VclProcessor2D::RenderPolygonStrokePrimitive2D which
transforms its geogetry but not its fLineWidth. I tried to solve the issue with
the following code but had no success

When one layout is assigned to two different slides, the associated master page is cloned twice in the target document but both copies have the same name as the original. Undo actions identify master pages via their name. Executing the undo actions brings the model out of sync and leaves slides without master pages. A possible fix can be found in the diff above: DocumentHelper::ProvideMasterPage() does not clone the layout master page unconditionally but first checks if one with the same name does already exist in the target document.
