[ui-issues] [Issue 53410] New - Middle-Mouse Click o n Scrollbar
To comment on the following update, log in, then open the issue: http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=53410 Issue #:|53410 Summary:|Middle-Mouse Click on Scrollbar Component:|ui Version:|OOo 2.0 Beta Platform:|PC URL:| OS/Version:|Linux Status:|UNCONFIRMED Status whiteboard:| Keywords:| Resolution:| Issue type:|ENHANCEMENT Priority:|P3 Subcomponent:|ui Assigned to:|sba Reported by:|chris_tyler --- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Tue Aug 16 11:42:19 -0700 2005 --- Most X11 applications (using the Qt, GTK, and Motif toolkits) have converged on common operation of the middle-mouse button with scrollbars: it moves the scrollbar to the clicked position. For example, if the scrollbar is positioned at the bottom, and the user middle-clicks at the top of the scrolling area, the scrollbar immediately goes to the top (like Ctrl-Home). Likewise, middle-clicking at the bottom immediately goes to the bottom (like Ctrl-End), and middle-clicking in the middle moves to the middle. OOo (up to 1.9.112 in the RPM tarballs from the OOo site) does not exhibit this behaviour. This is a valuable feature when dealing with large documents; without it, there appears to be no direct way to jump to a given point without using the keyboard. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. [sw-issues] [Issue 50525] Spell check crashes when I right-click on the mis-spelt word
To comment on the following update, log in, then open the issue: http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=50525 --- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Wed Jul 20 19:38:50 -0700 2005 --- I have experienced the same problem with OOo 1.9.{104,109,113,118} (Linux on 32-bit AMD) except that I can click on the options on the pop-up menu -- I only have problems if I click outside the pop-up spellcheck menu (i.e., if I don't like any of the options). The entire X display locks up except that the mouse pointer moves and NumLock can be toggled on/off (text cursor stops flashing, status monitor applets stop updating, no keypresses or mouse clicks do anything). CPU usages does *not* peg at 100% and killing soffice.bin (via ssh connection from another system) returns the X server to normal operation. Steps to recreate: - Start OOo writer. - Type "asdf asdf ". - Right-click on first "asdf" and select replacement word -- works fine. - Right-click on second "asdf" but instead of selecting an option, click outside the pop-up menu. I cannot I have checked this on another system with a fresh Fedora Core 4 install (including OOo 1.9.104) and it does not exhibit this problem. I can find only one dictionary.lst too; renaming ~/.openoffice and ~/.openoffice.org2 has no effect. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
