For an issue classified as P2 for the PREVIOUS release, I think this is pretty
much ignored...

Actually this bug is for 320 RC2 but there is no such option under Version...

OO.org crashed when I tried to upload a test file and now there is no Attach
field (again!).

How can I submit a test file?

On an Excel file where several columns are filtered, if there is a contiguous
column which wasn't included in the filter (as when you add new columns that
perform calculations on filtered data), then Calc can't unfilter the data by
simply pressing the Autofilter menu option.

This doesn't happen if all the columns are included in the filter.

How do I attach a sample file? There is no attach file option on the Enter Issue
form...

The defect is that a valid, important option was removed. If this was a mistake
it should be added again. If it was an Ooo option then in my opinion it is a bad
option.

There used to be a fourth option on the Registration dialog after install. I
think it doesn't make sense that it was removed. It forces the user to choose I
don't want to register (which is not true) or I want to register (which is
annoying if you have already done so...)

Is the idea to have people register every new build?

The should be known assumption is a bad attitude. If OpenOffice is going down
that path, it will be difficult to attract new users...

_Any_ import error should be notified to the user. There is no point in working
with incomplete (or incorrect) data.

I also disagree with your dismissal of the importance of this issue. It might
not be important from the programmer's point of view but it is extremely
important to the user!

@rainerbielefeld, I should have read the P levels first.

I agree with P2. According to the Guidelines for Priorities the only point where
this is not critical is that it will probably not affect many users.

I just wanted to make sure it would be fixed before the next release. Thanks!

I just loaded a 300.000 lines xlsx file
It loaded (slowly) and there was no error message warning that all data beyond
line 65536 was not loaded.

This is a major bug. If data can not be loaded, the user should be warned!

I couldn't find in the Help file included in the 2.1.0 release a explanation on
how to add a spellchecker for a different language. No wonder this is the 7th
most common question in the FAQs. Currently OpenOffice includes a wizard to do
this quite easily, but it's undocumented in the Help file and the location
(under File, Wizards) is not obvious. There should be an optiom under Tools,
Options, Languages

plino-tra: thanks for the suggestion. I had already done that. My concern is
more about making OOo a fully working program after install for unexperienced
users. From the MSDN link available at the Mozilla page I mentioned before it
seems that Microsoft allows the redistribution of GDI+. Of course it is up to
the OOo team to read the fine print and check under what conditions...

Are you asking me to find out if library is redistributable or is this a memo
for the OOo team? I'm not a programmer... just an advanced user. Since it is a
library from MS I guess there should be some procedures to redistribute...
