No, I don't know an issue about that, and my search didn't find one. I have searched again and it might be, that the problem has been introduced with issue 92211. I have tested some older versions now too. It does not overwrite in build 9318, but it does overwrite in build 9345. (I haven't got any version between any longer.) - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. 'not_very_pleased_at_the_moment' did not describe whether he switched the view during "edit an HTML page". Editing in Web-Layout without switching the view does not alter the file automatically, at least not in my tests. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. OO appears to be an HTML editor; most users do not know it is not maintained and will use it. This was no issue of formatting HTML, but a save issue. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. Probably, as you said, the AutoSave function. Else, as Regina explained, we have no resources to fix HTML formatting issues. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. That has been a problem since the beginning. Also its meddling the source code is a long standing defect. Do not try to use OOo as HTML editor. It is antiquated and it is not maintained since several years. Without external developers such issues are likely to be never fixed. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. Thanks! I used OO (3.0.0 build 9358) Writer to edit an HTML page I had created by hand. I saved the result, using "SAVE AS"; checked it in Firefox, did not like the result. I intended to go back to my original - but Open Office had overwritten my original, without asking! It probably took place during one of the auto backups. A lot of work lost. OO adds much extra HTML markup I don't want, but that's a different issue. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
